Arriving from Ohrid St. Paule the Apostle Airport

The most convenient way to go from the airport to Hotel Granit is by taxi (about 20 EUR). We advise to only use the official airport taxi; you can find the taxi fees here .

Arriving from Skopje International Airport

The distance between the airport and Skopje Bus Station is approximately 20 km. Travel from the airport to the bus station is possible either by shuttle bus (around 3.5 EUR) or by taxi (around 25 EUR). Information on the shuttle bus timetable, ticket prices, and taxi fares is available here .

While the shuttle bus is a convenient option, taking an official airport taxi is generally the most comfortable choice.

Several buses operate daily between Skopje Bus Station and Ohrid Bus Station. A one-way ticket costs approximately 15 EUR, and the journey takes about 3 hours (the distance is around 180 km). Tickets can be purchased directly at Skopje Bus Station. From Ohrid Bus Station, Hotel Granit can be reached by a short taxi ride or by a local bus.

As an alternative to bus travel, it is also possible to take a taxi directly from Skopje International Airport to Hotel Granit. Taxi prices for this route are listed here .

Currency and Payments

The official currency of North Macedonia is the Macedonian denar (MKD), with an exchange rate of approximately 61.5 MKD to 1 EUR. Cash payments must be made in Macedonian denars. Credit cards are widely accepted in most places; however, taxis are a notable exception, as they usually accept cash only.
